Social Media as an Evolving Tool of The Corporate and Social World I think it is important to set the stage when talking about social media as both its own corporate platform and a tool for social use. All companies need to make a profit and its no secret that Facebook(who owns Instagram and a slew of other social media corps) sells information to other research centers and even government companies. Other than that, however, corporate brands pay to expose their product all over front pages and timeline feeds. Much akin to just walking down the street in real life and seeing a slew of advertisements, when one walks down a digital pathway they are exposed to paid advertisements. Instagram and Snapchat are functionally 'personal usage' platforms with a focus on sharing either public or private content. The Beginning: Setting Tone and Structure(CSIT WEEK I)

Hello and welcome to my Blog for the Fall Semester of the year 2019. The purpose of this blog is not only to be used as a vessel for finishing assignments but for recording and instantiating progress of the class. I should mention the class is CSIT 155, Social Media for Business. I am looking forward to recording my experiences and gaining new knowledge of a large facet of the social media bubble. Setting The Tone: Picking a Theme Possibly one of the most important facets of a building website(apart from the code and general backdoor networking) is the aesthetic design and user interaction. Luckily with blogger, it gives us predetermined templates we can choose from in order to skip the whole shenanigans of coding. Themes in general layout the feel and tone of a site and determines what the user sees first and how they interact with said website.
